Overview
The photographs throughout the annual report convey the overall theme of the publication: taking patient care to new heights. The vertical cover photo of the VCU Medical Center’s new 15-story Critical Care Hospital (screen 1) illustrates the theme literally and sets the stage for the subsequent photographs of the facility and its staff. Vibrant, color photos of health care team members at work (screens 2 and 3), interiors of state-of-the-art operating and patient rooms, as well as portraits of the leader of the VCU Health System and the health sciences schools (screen 4), are interspersed with warm, duotone images of medical center patients (screen 5) illustrating every facet of the medical center.
