Overview
This publication gives external audiences a glimpse of the university’s story, as told by highlighting key research initiatives and outstanding accomplishments over the past several years. By partnering with the Office of the President, our goal was to create an intimate portrayal of the university and engage the reader by using textured paper and various printing techniques to underscore the use of unique angles in the overarching design motif. Understanding the wide range of audiences receiving this publication, we chose a smaller, horizontal format to capture their attention. The team collaborated on the writing, design and photography to achieve a balance of tradition and innovation. The color palette, consisting of a combination of warm earth tones and cooler hues, uses the brown to convey tradition and the brighter blues/greens to represent the university’s innovative research, teaching and service.
