In 2007, the VCU Office of University Advancement ran a communications initiative to celebrate its record-breaking $410.3 million fundraising campaign. Custom illustration was developed for the Campaign for VCU, which unified the newsletter and the three pieces for the end-of-campaign celebration: a save-the-date postcard, formal invitation and business cards. The 16-page, four-color newsletter, highlighting the campaign’s success in eight areas, hit donors immediately following the event and included a back pocket for a donor survey. The event invitation featured scoring to create a short fold for a finished size of 6.875" x 5". The 7" x 5" postcard and the 2" x 3.5" business card, which thanked donors and promoted an online scrapbook of event photos, illustrate the flexibility of the artwork on various sizes.
