Following a five-year hiatus of its alumni magazine, the VCU School of Business requested creative assistance in developing a brand-new publication for its key stakeholders, including deans of other business schools, alumni, donors, corporate partners, and faculty and staff. Aptly named for the school’s location on East Main Street, the inaugural 32-page issue explores how Snead Hall, opened in 2008, nourishes community.
Similar to the building’s shared areas that promote the exchange of innovative ideas, the magazine integrates content to illustrate the interactions among faculty, staff, students and alumni. The nontraditional 7.75” x 10.875” size differentiates the magazine while the design, which reflects the school’s graphic standards, projects a dynamic, innovative and modern tone. The result is a well-branded publication that strengthens readers’ knowledge of, appreciation for and sense of connection to the VCU School of Business.
