Overview
The Uterine Fibroid Embolization Web site (screen 1) is a patient-centered site, designed to help visitors find information about uterine fibroids and treatment options at the VCU Medical Center.
The home page features graphic elements to highlight key points, including symptoms of fibroids, benefits of the UFE procedure and the center’s contact information for scheduling an appointment. Patient referral forms and instructions are also included on the home page and link to PDFs (screen 2) that were redesigned to match the look of the Web site.
Throughout the site, patient testimonials detail positive experiences with the procedure and the UFE physicians and staff (screen 3). UFE-provided illustration (screen 4) and videos (screen 5) help patients learn about uterine fibroids and how UFE works as a treatment option.
